There’s not a lot of sympathy wasted on jet lag. It’s a problem everyone would like to have.

Yes, I am back.
It’s been two weeks since I got off the plane in San Francisco. And I am just now beginning to recognize the Americana in the mirror.
Usually, after a long trip, I hide out long enough to unpack my bags, catch up with mail, pay the bills, call my parents, and sleep off jetlag, not to mention allow my heart to catch up with my body. Only then do I answer the phone and begin to accept invitations…
But this time I leapt feet first from the plane into the USA .
To all who’ve written to say, “What happened? Where are you?”, stay with me and I will fill in the gaps. Beginning now.
